He's Bigger Than Any Chicago Bear!

At 6-9, 330 pounds York High School tackle Neal Deiters is hard to miss. Friday night, Deiters and his teammates, who are ranked #11 by the Chicago Tribune will see how good they really are when they face #8 Downers Grove South.

The High School Football Huddle Game of the Week Highlights



Starting today, The High School Football Huddle is adding highlights to the site. Each game we will choose a game to feature on the site.

Check out our Game of the Week from Sunday at Soldier Field in Chicago where arch-rivals Mt. Carmel and Joliet Catholic battled to a heartstopping finish. Mt. Carmel won the close fought battle 21-20.

Next Great Maine South QB Debuts

"Air Maine South" appears to have returned to Park Ridge!

On Saturday, the Hawks opened the season with a 48-22 beating of Schaumburg behind junior quarterback Charlie Goro, who completed 17 of 23 passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns. The 6-3, 185-pounder also ran for two scores.

Naperville North Rolls Past Neuqua Valley

Naperville North showed why it's considered one of the top five teams in the Chicagoland area with a 41-14 thumping of Neuqua Valley on Saturday. The Huskies scored on five of its first six possessions behind senior quarterback Jordan Tassio who threw for 154 yards and two touchdowns, plus added 66 yards rushing.

Defending 8A State Champs Pick-up Where They Left Off

Wheaton Warrenville South appears ready to defend its 2006 state championship. The Tigers opened the 2007 season with 20-6 non-conference win over Hinsdale Central Friday night. It was WWS' 15th straight win, and 26th in its last 27 games.

Lincoln-Way East Tops Providence in Season Opener
