Illinois High School Football Huddle
For the first time since the school was found 52 years ago, Lena-Winslow has an Illinois high school football championship trophy.
The Panthers beat Tuscola 47-14 on Friday to capture the state's Class 1A crown. Lena-Winslow tied a state championship game with six rushing touchdowns.
The victory was the 13th in a row for the Panthers, who opened the season with a loss to Dakota in the opening week of the season...a loss they later avenged in the second round of the playoffs.
