The High School Football Huddle
The Kirk Herbstreit Varsity Football Series, now in its fourth year, is all about seeing how well the state of Ohio does against powerful high school football programs around the country. In fact, the first three years the event was known as the Ohio Vs. USA Challenge.
Sunday night, St. Rita struck a blow for Illinois as it downed Lakota West 28-21 on a 5-yards TD run by Dave Marciano.

ooh cute logo. But SR would never wear anything as snooty as eye shields. Rita plays South Sde smashmouth football, not western suburban football.
